Searching for an atypical bachelorette/bachelor party? Gather your pals, put on your most flame resistant attire, and sign up for a cooking class! The Kitchen Table in Greenwood Village - here in Colorado - has a calendar brimming with various types of yum-inducing skills ready for you to acquire. I recently took a baking class with my sister (though it was originally for me and my honey). We had a blast learning how to mix and roll and fold and roll and fold and roll and fold (seriously, it's 3-4 times of this) dough for croissants and danishes. Demos were run by a lovely young pastry chef named Erin with assistance from - I was so pumped about this! - Denver bakery legend Clark of Buffalo Doughboy. As soon as we arrived we were greeted with complimentary wine and cheese. The setting is laid back and structured beautifully so you are learning the steps without any dead time. The classes are intimate enough to not feel silly when you have questions like "What does egg wash do?" or "Is it okay if I eat this leftover cream cheese sugar mix while I wait for the danishes to bake?". The Kitchen Table even has Couples Classes if you and your partner-for-life-to-be are looking to learn together. And vegetarians, check out Meatless Mondays. There's something for everyone - even Knife Skills for those who just want to be more help in the kitchen to back up the real chef of the house. Just one way to think outside of the strip club for one last single romp with your best buds! Bon appetit!
